AND IN MAY, 2025 A NEW 2 DAY WORKSHOP FOR INTERMEDIATE TO ADVANCED WATERCOLOR PAINTERS
BEGINNERS ONLY Watercolor Workshop Part2
2 Days, April 25th & 26th Friday and Saturday 10:00 - 4:00
Welcome to My Workshop
Are you intrigued by the fluid beauty of watercolors but hesitant to dive in? Come join my workshop, “Do Not Be Afraid of Watercolors” where I’ll help demystify the process and help you embrace this versatile medium with confidence.
Why Watercolor?
Watercolor is known for its delicate, translucent qualities and spontaneous effects. It’s a medium that encourages creativity and experimentation, allowing for beautiful unexpected results. Learning watercolor can be both relaxing and rewarding making it the perfect art form.
What to Expect
This workshop is designed exclusively for the artist wanting to learn how to paint in watercolor the correct (professional) way. No prior experience in watercolor painting is required.
Day 1: Morning: Introduction to the different types of watercolor paints, watercolor paper and watercolor brushes. We will discuss the “why” of paint, paper and brushes and put that to practical use by following me on a step by step painting. As we paint we will discuss tea to butter in paint consistency.
LUNCH 12:15-1:00
Day 1: Afternoon: Watercolor paint mixing techniques and water to pigment ratios which is difficult but very important to a watercolor artist. Everyone can relate to the consistencies of tea, coffee, milk, cream and butter and that relatable method will help you when learning watercolor.
Day 2: Quick review, Q&A and then we will put day 1 to the test and create small step by step paintings in the morning.
LUNCH 12:15-1:00
Day 2: Afternoon: You will paint on your own at your own pace as I guide you to your first masterpiece. I will provide references for you to paint from.
